FARLEIGH CASTLE EVENT! 18th-19th SEPTEMBER 2010
TEAM HRC 1989 REUINTED TO RACE AT FARLEIGH CASTLE SPECTACULAR
Organisers of the Farliegh Castle Veterans MXDN, which is being held on the 17th to 19th of September 2010, are extremely excited to
announce that 1989's prestigious HRC team will be racing at this year?s event aboard original works Honda machinery.
The superstar HRC Honda line-up of three-time 500cc world champion Dave Thorpe (UK), five times world champion Eric Geboers (Belgium) and
former world number two Jeff Leisk (Australia), will for the first
time be reunited to contest the MXDN team event, which is sponsored by Buldbase, in what will be a nostalgic one-off and rare opportunity for
all off-road race fans.
The weekend, which will see a host of former champions and star riders, is certainly not to be missed at one of Britain?s finest historic tracks. From the UK past greats including former British World 500cc Champion Graham Noyce, former Des Nations winner and multi-time British Champion Rob Herring, last year?s race winner and former British Champion Neil Prince, former British Champion Greg Hansen, Bryan Wheeler, Ricky Priest, Neil Hudson, Ed Bradley, Craig
Pratley and Matt Gordon, will all be racing the event.
In addition to this the Karsmakers family are set to race along with former South African champion Ryan Hunt as well as teams from Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Scotland, Southern and Northern Ireland. Guests of honour include five times World Champion Georges Jobé, three-times Belgian World Champion Andrea Malherbe, and former stunt rider Eddie Kidd will also join the star-studded line-up of racers
In addition to some seriously hot on-track action, which includes
Twinshock racing, Evo racing, modern bike racing and the main event, will see teams from numerous countries battle it out for glory, spectators will be treated to live entertainment from The Wurzels on Friday night, followed by an awesome set from a superb Madness tribute band on Saturday night.
?It?s extremely exciting for us to announce that team HRC 1989 will actually be competing in the races this year. It?s going to be such an
amazing spectacle that brings together some of the World?s former
greatest racers and on such special factory machinery,? said one of
the event organisers, Dave King.
?Spectators and competitors are in for a real treat, and we?ve
extended our line-up of racers that are actually competing this year.
The range of vintage and modern machinery with racers from our history is going to make it an ultra-special weekend and it will really bring
Farleigh to life. We?ve also got live ntertainment from some
brilliant bands on Friday and Saturday night, so it?s going to be an absolutely amazing weekend for all the family,? concluded King.
The weekend is expected to be filled with racing aboard a huge range of machinery from over the years, with an electric atmosphere which will bring together some of the finest racers together from many eras.
For a great nostalgic weekend of racing from some of the sport?s greatest riders, head down to Farleigh Castle and support your country?s team. Tickets are available on the gate, and there are still some spaces in the veterans modern and twinshock races. Camping is also available.

Wiltshire's Weird paranormal & UFO conference is back again in Warminster this August with our annual event Weird 10. You may remember or have heard of Weird 09 which was held at the Athenaeum centre over the August bank holiday last year. We attracted hundreds of people to Warminster during our event and will be repeating the whole experience in August.
Weird 10, Wiltshire's premier annual Paranormal and UFO conference, presents twelve well known speakers, researchers, authors and celebrities in the UFO and Paranormal subjects. The event will be held over two days at the atmospheric Athenaeum Victorian theatre in Warminster, Wiltshire. Nestling in the weirdest county in the UK, the town was once crowned the UFO capitol of the World
With household names like Nick Pope and Ciaran O’Keeffe, and well known researchers such as Andy Russell, Dr. David Clarke, Andy Roberts and Wal Thornhill, there is something for everyone at the event. There is also an open question and answer session at the theatre at the end of the first days talks.
Free copies of Paranormal Magazine will be on offer and large merchant stall areas will be stocked with all kinds of paranormal related items. The event will also launch two books by authors Andy Roberts and Brian Allan.
Live music will be supplied on the Saturday evening by 'The Programme Initiative' an innovated band that mixes stunning visuals with their music. The Saturday evening ends with a chance to join the legendary UFO Warminster sky watch held at Cradle Hill on the outskirts of the town.
Speakers: Kevin Goodman, Wal Thornhill, Nick Pope, David Clarke, Andy Roberts, Ciaran O’Keeffe, Andrew Collins, Brian Allan, ASSAP, Ross Hemsworth.
Special Guest: Philip Mantle, Editor of UFO Matrix magazine, sponsors of Weird 10.
Date 21st and 22nd August
Venue: Athenaeum Theatre, High Street, Warminster.
Opens 8:30am – 17:00 each day.
Advance Tickets from www.weirdevents.co.uk/booking.htm
Warminster History
Warminster in Wiltshire was the centre of UK UFO research for almost 15 years, starting late in 1964 and finally petering out at the tail end of the 1970s.
Central to the phenomenon was local journalist Arthur Shuttlewood, who began reporting as a skeptic, but soon became a convert after seeing the enigma for himself.
The sheer volume of sightings in Warminster during this period can be attributed to not only Shuttlewood's florid and sensational writing style, but also due to the mass media coverage which encouraged the public to visit the town to see the "Thing" for themselves.
Although many sightings could be rationally explained away, there are core series of sightings which defy rational explanation. To this day, Warminster remains a mystery.

Creative Cow is a professional travelling repertory company with a fine reputation for theatre productions of excellence and as spring approaches, so does this young and sparkling company!
Once again, Creative Cow will travel throughout the south, and south west with a new play called DUMB SHOW.
This is the first touring production of this beguiling and contemporary play by Lawrence Olivier Award winning playwright Joe Penhall (he has recently written the screenplay for the BAFTA nominated film The Road starring Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron).
DUMB SHOW which is Creative Cow’s first production of a play written in this century (all the others have been legendary classics from the 1960’s) was written in 2004 for the Royal Court in London where it received jubilant reviews.
The plot involves Barry, a hapless TV personality and John and Jane – two bankers with an eye to the main chance. Barry, a sucker for celebrity fails to recognise the honey trap and falls prey to the media attention he would normally seek. Joe Penhall explores with remarkable skill and wit the freedom of expression and right to privacy that is an ongoing argument between celebrities and tabloids.
DUMB SHOW is highly entertaining and funny and particularly so in the hands of Creative Cow actors, Jack Hulland, Jonathan Parish and Katherine Senior.
Amanda Knott directs with the flare and imagination which has become the hall mark of Creative Cow.
Dumb Show will arrive at the Rondo Theatre, Bath at the beginning of this 6 week tour on Friday 9th April 2010.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £10, £8 concessions.
